PP&D Tennis camp is designed for boys and girls ages 9-18.
Types of Campers
- All dorms are air conditioned with meals served in our college cafeteria.
Campers should bring all linens, towels, blankets and pillows. Resident campers
take part in all scheduled activities.
College Prep Camp - This camp is for high school juniors and seniors whom are intersted in playing college tennis. The camp is limited to eight students whom are prepared for the physically demanding drilling and match play. There is a different schedule and more emphasis on physical conditioning over tennis technique than our general camp.
Extended Day - Same as day except campers stay for evening activities commencing at 9:00 PM. Lunch and dinner provided.
Day Only - Instruction starting at 8:30 AM ending with afternoon competition at 4:30 PM. Hot lunch provided in our cafeteria. On check-in day the day campers will stay until approximately 9:00 PM. Having the day campers participate on the first evening will count as makeup time if we should experience rain during the week or time spent at Water Country USA.
Half Day - Instruction starts at 8:30 AM ending at 11:30 AM. On check-in day the day campers will stay until approximately 9:00 PM.

Deposit
A deposit of $300 will secure your spot in the camp. The balance of your camp
must be paid by May 1, 2008.
Type's of Payment
All campers must register online. We accept personal check, cashier check or
credit card. If using credit card, you must register online.
Cancellations
All cancellations prior to camp will be refunded in camp credit. The credit
is good for the 2008 and 2009 camp seasons only and may be transferred to family
members. Cash refunds are only given out if you have purchased refund insurance.
Refund Insurance
PP&D offers families refund insurance to help solve unforeseen problems
that may cause you to change your summer plans at a moments notice. For a nominal
fee of $35 you can rest assured that your tuition and/or deposit can be refunded
if something should prohibit you from attending your camp week. Due at the time
of deposit and/or tuition payment, refund insurance allows you a full refund
of deposit and tuition should you cancel your camp registration more than 14
days prior to your first scheduled day of camp. If you cancel within 14 days
of your scheduled camp we will give you full credit for all monies paid through
the 2008 camp season. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members
or friends. Your $35 payment covers all weeks in which you register.
Housing
All dorms that we will use for all PP&D Camps will be air-conditioned. At
W&M the dorms are adjacent to the tennis facilities and cafeteria.
Camp Bank
Campers may deposit spending money at check-in (recommended $40 per week). They
may withdraw their money each day at lunch as needed.
Check-In
Registration for all campers will be between 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM on the first
day of camp. Tennis evaluations start at 2:30 PM. Tennis Day campers should
be picked up at 9:00 PM on registration day only.
Checkout
Campers should be picked up at 12:00 noon at the courts. Graduation will begin
at 11:30 AM at the William and Mary Hall (Busch) Courts. At noon resident campers
will go to their dorm to pick up their belongings. All campers have to be picked
up by 12:30 as the staff will leave at that time.
Early Arrivals and Late Departures
Our staff or facilities are not set up to provide supervision for campers before
1pm on the 1st day or after 12:00 noon the last day of camp.
Room Key & Meal Card Deposit
A $55 room key and meal card deposit is required at registration. Please write
a separate check to bring with you to registration. The check will be returned
when your room key and meal card are returned during checkout.
Airport Transportation
PP&D will provide transportation on request from one of two area airports.
The cost is $30 each way. The two airports are Newport News, VA and Richmond,
VA. Please let us know well in advance if you wish to schedule transportation.
